Sevastiana Nourou

Born in Cyprus, I am a classical pianist interested in the romanticism of the 19th century. I have graduated with a Bmus/music from the University of Sheffield, and with an MA in Historical Musicology from Goldsmiths, University of London. I am currently studying for a PhD in Music in London. My research regards the Reception of Ignaz Moscheles in the 19th century. I am experienced in teaching music, specifically the piano and theoretical lessons in London and in Cyprus.
I have performed in various recitals as in England and Cyprus and have experience with the harpsichord, guitar, violin, Indian santoor, classical and popular singing and choir conducting.
In 2010 I won the first Pancyprian award in a music knowledge by Pharos Art Foundation. In 2011 I was awarded in the same competition with the 3rd price.
I am a freelance piano teacher piano, music for kindergarten pupils and theory lessons, such as harmony, orchestration, music history, musicianship etc.

Music Lessons

Piano, piano music pre-education for children (4-6) and music theory lessons are given by a qualified teacher, such as harmony, orchestration, music history, musicianship etc. The syllabuses used are for all grades of classical piano and theory of ABRSM and for popular piano and popular music theory of Rockschool – RSL.
